We have been learning all about animals and their life cycles -- today we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly and we did this super cute activity using dry pasta noodles. Very easy and cheap, the kids loved it!
Here's what you need:
Star Shaped pasta for the Butterfly Eggs |
Spiral Pasta for the Larva |
Shells for the Chrysalis |
and Bowtie Pasta for the Butterfly! |
So stinkin' cute!

Such a good idea! I'll be moving down to 2nd grade next year and am excited to use some of the ideas I've been reading on all these blogs! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDelete:) I did this in lab this year with Kindergarten and second! I used orzo for the egg! If I did this with just one class (instead of 14), I would have dyed the pasta with food coloring and rubbing alcohol :)
